Town Announces the Passing of Former Commissioner Galloway

With great sadness, the Town of Pikeville announces the passing of former Town Commissioner Lyman Galloway. Mr. Lyman has been a fixture in Pikeville for decades as he loved our little town and loved representing residents as an elected board member for many years. He so proudly served his country in Vietnam and then in the Air Force until his retirement. He and his beloved wife, Pat, owned and operated Pikeville Florist while raising their two sons. Mr. Lyman was the epitome of what good local government should be as he was fair, honest, and only concerned the good of the town throughout his years. We will all miss his daily visits and the stories he told so vividly. Pikeville is a better town today because of Mr. Lyman Galloway.
